Our team structure includes counseling, social emotional, academic coaching, and of course our teachers. We are always happy to have visitors join us to see what we do to change lives. David Shirley

Hello! My name is David Shirley, I am the Assistant Principal for the Denver GOAL High School. It is my desire to support you as you pursue your educational goals. I have been in education for more than 21 years. I was a juvenile probation counselor for 5 years and spent 33 years in the United States Air Force. I enjoy college and pro football. My favorite teams are the Philadelphia Eagles and Ohio State Buckeyes. I enjoy spending time with my wife of 37 years. I love people and love to see our students succeed.
Joseph "Joe" Gonzales

Hello! My name is Joe Gonzales and I am the Dean at the Brighton site. This is my 9th year with GOAL High School. I was previously in the academic coach and social emotional generalist role before becoming a Dean in the Denver Region. My purpose here is to give students every opportunity to succeed with our program and I truly believe we have the best staff in place to make that goal a reality. For fun I love watching anything Disney with my sons Noah and Max, and we especially love rooting for the Broncos, Avalanche, Nuggets and Rockies!
